Question on MOSFET mod

Mostly dealing with electronics and pcbs and modifying them, all the things that make electrical-engineers tick and the rest of us cringe in fear.

Question on MOSFET mod

Post by Matic »

I have original microsizer and my PCB is slightly different then PCB from this tutorial:
http://www.ausmicro.com/topic.asp?TOPIC ... +Technical

Well my PCB looks like on this picture
http://bitpimps.lixlink.com/pages/phpFo ... t=crip+cap

As you can see the transistors aren`t "five in a straight row" but four in a row, then fifth rotated by 90 degrees.

Can I remove the same transistors as showed in tutorial ?

Are the terminals at the same position since they don`t have letters printed?

The rotated transistor (middle left on pcb, next to orange cylinder) and the first transistor of the row of four would represent the first pair to be replaced by fets. Reading left to right in the picture.

The second and third transistors in the row of four are the second pair to be replaced with fets. Reading left to right in the picture.

The first pair have fets soldered back in place, the second pair are the fets glued to the other side of the pcb.

I've based this on what I've seen, I've done this to an Lxx Booster pcb which APPEARS to look the same as the picture above.

Otherwise take your chances.........

And, oh yeah.........Patience is a virute. :crap:
