i have plenty of controllers and printer ports to rip apart.

do you have an NPN resistors? I got a bunch of old NoxBoxes (external version) that I should clean up. PM your shipping address to me and I'll drop it in the mail. You'll still have to do soldering to fix it in. But you'll just need a Tx and wire.

There was more than just software, if I remember correctly. There was some kind of serial (or other) cable connection to a bit TX.

Software ran a Serial port, serial cable went into a modified transmitter, transmitter let you run a car. I think he called it a Nox Box or something.

I remember watching the in progress thing for it back on Tiny (long ago, when Tiny was king). The computer to remote interface looked to be very simple to setup. Also I remember he was charging a large amount for his software. Then I got out of micro rc for about a year, then when I came back it was so dead and gone.

Best of luck on your search, and if you find it, post up a link. I want that software too.

He only had the software hosted for a short time.
It was a .zip file and you needed a password that he gave to open it.

Basically, the software had a GUI. You could set steps of commands and the serial port sent signals from the computer to the controller.
For instance you could tell it to go:
Forward 3 steps, turn right 4 steps, etc. etc.

It showed some pretty cool potential, but wasn't perfected.
