My Offroad SE - finally done

:???: So I have been working on this for a bit. It's a ZZSE, that I could drive on my carpeted floor. I was trying to be as simple as possible allowing for more clearance. I ended up using scrap plastic for front shock mounts, inner a-arm links, and rear axle carrier for the added axle. I used paper clips for the actual a-arms and shock rods. The ends of the arms were the steering links trimmed off of a clone's steering linkage.

I still am working on the steering set-up, so of coarse it is still rough around the edges and needs some finalizing of the current mods. Also the body was painted a couple of years ago and needs to be polished up. But, as a work in progress, I thought I might share these ideas around.

I haven't seen any front suspension set ups like this in my seaches, but although I have only been watching this site for a couple years, I wouldn't think this would be the first?

So ... let me know what ya guys think. :?:

Tuner1989 took the words out my mouth, that is a a hell of a firts post.

I think that's freakin' awesome. I love the color, the way it sits, the A-arm type front suspension, the extra details, and you did it to a SE. It all came together really well. :-o

So how's it run?

awesome design man :-o i don't think i've seen one like that either.
kinda similar to the xmod evo, it should introduce more negative camber as it's compressed :)

How about some body off shots of the front end, and a decent pic of the rear?

That's damn cool! Looks like there finally might be something out there that can be more of a Prerunner than the DirtyBit.

I've gotta agree with SWG about the copycats, I'm definately gonna have to steal a few concepts off this rig.

i am scraping this chassis. BUT, it's because i ran into issues with the steering. so a differant design has already started :-o Sportracguy kinda got me thinking about rear suspension.

and more detailed pics will follow. if a big enough response calls for it, i could do a tut :???:

it's all good. :) i feel it's more innovative to some degree that it should get more people back into customizing. better to share rather than horde good ideas.
