Video: Hang Time - Jumping the Mini LST
I've given the Losi a few runs around the apartment, and it handles really well, buts a bit too fast for indoors. So this is gonna be mostly an outdoor toy. This was my first run outdoors, so I sat the camera on the chair next to me to catch some of the jumping action.
I threw this vid together with Windows Movie Maker. I picked a MP3 CD at random, and found a random track that happened to be the right length, and when I threw it together, it fit as well if not better than anything I've intentionally done. Really kinda odd how that works.

You're telling me. I was studying the radar data in RC Driver, and the Losi needs approx. 40 ft to wind out to top speed, I maybe have 30 ft tops, and I was just seeing it wind out. I was only getting about a 5-8 ft. run up on the ramp, and having the angled sidewalk in front of it was not helping me line up.You need a little more runway room, then you'll be scrapin' some sky!!
It was my first time, I'm gonna have to experiment with my enviroment.

Just a little too soft for my taste. It was bottoming out, and the aluminum on the bottom of the chassis took a beating. It comes stock with 25 wt. oil in the shocks. I got some 30 wt. on order, and I'm gonna try to build the shocks with a little more rebound... but other wise, yeah, it soaks the bumps up great. Easily the best handling RC I ever driven. Even in the loose stuff I could not get out of shape.payaso wrote:Looks like it soaks up the bumps nicely.

That was the only change I made after I added the music. I took out one 2 sec slomo clip, and bam, it all lined up too perfect. I can never pull that crap off if I plan it out first.hue35 wrote:Nice vid dude... the ending is fuckin' beautiful.

(That did throw off the alignment through the slomo clips. It was hitting the jump in perfect sync with the guitar.)
