DOA Bit
I maybe the unluckiest guy when it comes to micros. After the debacle detailed in my first post (Loose Wire), I decided to acquire a couple of Bits. I went for a New Beetle and the Ultraman Mat Vehicle. The Mat Vehicle is not working at all. The New Beetle does, but it stutters when turning on either direction.
Now, I have 5 bodies: 2 Perfection VW Kombis, 1 Tomy Ferrari Enzo, 1 Tomy New Beetle, and 1 Tomy Mat VE; 2 dead PCB; and 1 stuttering PCB.
I might just get a clone next time, if ever I decide to go on with this hobby. I saw some "Road Rats" at my local toy shop.

Since there's no history to go off, and I can't see it first hand, it would be hard to say, but my guess is the battery is probably dead in the MAT car, the Tomy cars came with NiCds as opposed to NiMH. The NiCds don't seem to sit well, and these cars have been sitting on the shelves for... crap, what like up to 7 years by now.
So try a battery from a clone.
I'm assuming the New Beetle is a Bit Char-G, not a Microsizer, since you got the MAT car? If that's teh case, later models had "crip caps", either in the car's PCB, or the controller. There was an article at quest for madness, or at least that's what I remember it being called, but can't seem to find it, maybe someone else will know what I'm talking about and be able to find it. Meanwhile you could try adding a telescoping antenna and/or an extra battery to the controller, and a longer antenna to the car.
Hope that helps.

Dear Life Cereal, Where do you get off? Part of a balanced breakfast and delicious? Who do you think you are? By now you may have guessed I'm speaking ironically and have nothing but good things to say about what you do. Life cereal do not change a thing.

Thanks for the links. Projects might be out of my league right now. I might end up with fried boards.
Anyway, looks like my luck, or the lack of it, with bits just won't quit. I bought a Microsizers set from evilBay. I got the package from the seller.
WOW!!
It contained an F1 slot car instead of the Microsizers. Seller said another buyer got the micros, and has agreed to send it to me and I will have to send the slot car to him. Am waiting for a tracking number right now before I send out the F1.
