you could try:
- dual celled
- pullback or alloy rims
- rare earth magnet
Dear Life Cereal, Where do you get off? Part of a balanced breakfast and delicious? Who do you think you are? By now you may have guessed I'm speaking ironically and have nothing but good things to say about what you do. Life cereal do not change a thing.

some good ways to get a quiet bit is move up to higher gears. (teal bit, red zz) they also allow your car to coast smoother. kind of slow accel, but a 3.2 might be able to do it. might wanna try the internal layman's 2 cell but i have not gotten good results with it...it's here: http://tinyrc.com/forums/showthread.php ... genumber=1

depending on the body you have, you could lower your car too. the S2K's do well in the front...i got mine almost all the way to the floor without any dremeling..

good luck, and take your time with mods...hack jobs don't usually pay off...

If you want to get rid of the noisyness, you should:

-Look for Hogjowlz JBWeld (or epoxy putty) rear axle mod
-put a Microsizer or Bit-Char-g rear axle and gears in it (the LXX ones suck)
-try using graphite powder or graphite lock fluid as a lubricant.

The first suggestion will do the most, but it's kinda permanent. If ou do it I would do the other 2 along with it.

Hang on to the LXX rear tires, as they are actually some of the best.

ya first thing is to put another cell into there. that is the single most important boost in performance you can do. after that i bust out the suspension springs. and ya the teal microsizer gears in conjunctiojn with 2.4v and a good solid motor makes for a good drive combo. the jbweld mod he referred to is the icing on the cake.i dont usually do that until i got everything else dialed down pretty good. this is more of an art than a science really and you will fudge it up along the way im sure so be prepared to cut some stuff out or redo it if it aint perfect.

Well I have tried putting new full size roms on some of my clones but I cant keep the alignment right when I switch pins for the wheels....The thing just f'in bounces. I also made an f 150 lightning body for my clone usiing a Toyota Bb and some putty...I'll try to get some pics up of that in a bit. Any tips for keeping the alingment accurate with the new rims?

putting em back right. hehe

wheels are tough. maybe use the pins from the clones(thinner and not ribbed) well cyclona pins are. wheels can be a pain and that mod doesnt do a lot for performance.
