General discussions, new info, and all stuff that's how you say, off the hook. Bit, ZZ, SE, MT, SS... as long as it's micro, it's here.

i got my ms pro yesterday at toys r us and well i thought it be kinda cool to have a boost, but when i drove it i was quite dissapointed, maybe it was just me but that battery is pretty damn weak, i couldnt even get 2 laps out of it. the motors pretty weak to. and the boost button is in a really gay place. overall i was quite dissapointed in ms's product :(

Speaking of the hetrosexually challenged positioning of the boost button, I couldn't agree more.....

What would be SERIOUSLY nice is a two point contact switch inside the F/R button.

Essentially, what would happen is you push it for normal mode just a little bit, but you push it just a bit harder down, then it kicks in boost mode.

So you eliminate a separate boost button and it would feel more confortable in the hands.

You guys think that is possible?

@extrememicros, someone over at TRC did something similar, where he drilled a hole in the foward button, and moved the boost button there. That seems like a pretty good solution to me.

@PseudoRooter, THANK YOU!! That's exactly what I need.

I would have did the mod before I even posted, except I don't have a 10k resistor on hand, I've got 8 different values of resistors handy, but no 10k. Dammit, now I have to run to Radio Shack tomorrow.

I read the mod translation, however, I don't think I am sure what is the end result based on what I read.

Anyone...?

From what I read, it is running all the time, then when you push the forward button, it is then boosted...?? That can't be right... :???:

Clipping the copper strip, and inserting the jump makes it so it's boosted all the time. Adding the resistor makes it so when you press the boost button it's un-boosted.

The forward button is not involved with the mod.
