"Real" micro r/c

General discussions, new info, and all stuff that's how you say, off the hook. Bit, ZZ, SE, MT, SS... as long as it's micro, it's here.

Well I went from a mini Z to bits and working back up with the epochs.

I would however take a 1/10 scale if it was dirt cheap other then that they are to much doe for me to dish out on something that will hardly get used.

I'm with payaso on the size thing. I wanted a micro that ran like my 1/10th cars. The fetted SE does that, it is by far the best micro rc now. I won't be buying any xmods, I don't have the space for good racing with those, and I have a couple of 1/10th cars that I can run outside.

Superfly,
I have fetted bits, ms, zz, and now an SE. The fetted SE has a little less torque than the others, but it is faster. The torque with red gears is still better than stock with blue gears! The lower torque may be due to pulsed signal, or more weight, but I think it has more to do with the smaller cells in the SE. I tried running a fetted ms board with some smaller cells (about the same as SE's) from a nakamichi racer, and the torque was lacking with that set up too. Max discharge rate for smaller cells is 210ma while the larger bit/old zz cell is 360ma (did some research).

Cabo,
Yes, a chunk of the cost of the mod goes into shipping back to you (from micro_Amps). The speed of the SE with mosfets is nearly that of a dual cell (it is dual cell, just smaller cells)

Voodoo,
If charging with AAA's you won't get very good results after just a couple of charges. They run down way too fast. I get 10 min. run time with 2 - 3 charges in my fet modded one with green gears and purple NX motor, using my AC adapter, here:

In conclusion, I gotta say I love the SE fetted. In fact I sent a couple more to micro_Amps to have them done as well.
Scotty, beam me up.

I guess it's to each his own... I'm just a fan of small things.. All micro shit has a certain "spy" quality to it.

I think $65 for a kick ass micro r/c car is not too bad. Shit, I'm considering going a little smaller in the TTTT category.. Those are in the $200 and up range, and has a pretty decent following.

I like all r/c cars of all scales, but I just can't put my finger on why I'm so hard headed towards the little guys. (weird)

I also freak on bonsai trees. Those things are off the hook, and look even better.

weirdo out...

Well I've had my SE for about 2 days now and I fucken love the thing ;-) , it has so much potential to have mods done to it, be they performance or aesthetically orientated.. I've still got mine stock and I've just put my EM38 motor in it and enjoying to change in drive style.

I so enjoy running it around that I've spent bugger all time in actually pulling the thing apart. I mean I have done that already (of course I have, what you kiddin me?, lol) and gotten a quick look at it but really I am still just enjoying at the moment....

I was never really into larger RC, mainly because of the cost associated with 1/10 stuff n shit. For $50 - $60 though, you can't go wrong! Yeah!

The thing that sux the most is the charging of the SE, the first few times I got great runtimes of 4 fresh AAA's, but now I avg 3 minutes of runtime, arghhhh! So a charger is the first thing you should do I reakon! Bdebde, your charger looks cool man, nice fix!

Anyways, back to picking that black shit off the PCB.......

Yea man I hear yea I think the small shit is cool plus you can play with it anywhere. Try hookin a pinhold came to you bit or zz and tell me you dont feel like a spy lol.

Man my wife thinks I am weird for loving these so much and the fact that our bedroom looks like a Toy Fair from the 70's and 80's.

But what are these other micros you are talking about?

BTW get a digi Q R :)
