Painting Motorworks bodies
I ruined a motorworks body, and I need some suggestions. I'll make sure to clean it well this time, but I wanted to know if anyone else has had this problem with motorworks.
I painted the body with krylon, and every coat would react somewhat like water and oil. The paint would seperate and pool all over the body. I'm going to try again on a new body, but I was hoping someone might have some more experience with motorworks.
Thanks.

That's exactly the problem I have with cheap non-transparent clone bodies, using various types of laquers.TIN wrote:I painted the body with krylon, and every coat would react somewhat like water and oil. The paint would seperate and pool all over the body.
Best you can do is like Hue says, sand it really good and primer it. The primer will stick but it still doesn't like to sit very level. I always have to give it a sanding after the first couple coats, whether if I use primer or laquer, and then everything goes smoothly from there.
Really I just try really hard to avoid wanting to paint bodies like that.

i ditched the bodies on my motorworks and im running ms celicas on them... the mitsu evo body kinda works, but the celica is the ticket... just mount it front tab first and use ms or zipzap tires on rear... my "better of the 2" motorworks has zipzap rims all the way around and looks super sweet with the celica

No way dood, my policy is, "all the crack I can get"... sure, I prefer the pink crack, but I'll take what's there. I know this one dude who's all, "when the river runs red, take the dirt road instead", but I think that's messed up, yo.sessiz wrote:You gotta lay off that red crack.
