led's are pretty... I like your UFO idea Cabo, someone should do it to a sponge-bob ZZ lol

its as simple as soldering the ends of the led to the place where the motor wire attaches to the chassis. if its just a normal led, it will only work in either fwd or reverse depending on which way you wire it(a diode is a one way valve). my friend has an entire tray full of random leds. but yes, the evil demons at radioshaq have them for a whopping buck thirtynine.

{edit} im pretty sure this only works on a dual cell and doesnt light up under load. once it gets up to speed the light kicks in. kinda gives it a "turbo" effect.

hmm... I could see a cool effect when at full speed, but how about having the lights come on when pushing forward or reverse, and underload.
I want the lights to come on immediately when I push the forward or reverse buttons.
these lights drain pretty hard on the battery I suppose?

cabo, I just picked up two red LEDs from ratshack...

I plan on hooking them up in this fashion....Push forward or reverse and the LEDs come on.

let you know.... Thinking about entering it into the contest..

Yeah, the Z-Car was my first Micro. Had problems with 2 of them, returned them to the store til I got a good one. It is pretty zippy, I popped a KIT 2.6 in that sucker and man????? Not one that I run alot thought, very low milage.

ya my first experience was a zipzap. my cousin got a zcar a week later and compared to zipzaps they are the shizzle. compared to other clones and bits they are "yaawwn" not the worst bits out there.
