(Laughing)...Pimp up my Microids!
They're made by Tomy, so who knows, maybe they use the same shit inside. I just wonder what someone with too much time on their hands might do to one. I hate to think about it, myself.
Any backsass on my rizzant?
Hit me up, b-boys and b-girls!

...Sorry, the whitty banter that goes here listened to Richard Simmons' Sweatin' to Books on Tape until it died. Its biting sarcasm will be missed.

Well, if you haven't seen them yet, then this link won't help that much since there's no freakin pics:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/searc ... 76-2397423
You can find them at Target for 7.99 I think. They're little cyborg like robot animal things, not too unlike Tomy's Micropets. The Micropets are voice controlled, whereas the Microids have a little IR controller about the size of a car alarm remote. I bought these for my 3 year old twins because the commercial on the Disney channel looked cool. Will I ever learn? Stupid toy commercials on Disney. Grrr.
Anyway, I think these roids pretty much suck. One button makes them walk forward, ableit haltingly (think Peter O'Toole), the other makes them turn left, albeit more haltingly (think Peter O'Toole on a bender). Oh yeah, they make a lame growling sound when you press a button (think Tom Waits singing). My 3 year olds played with them for two days, no mas.
I don't really see anything there for bit modders.

I hear ya Seaburg. I'm a little curious myself. They're pretty slow, so I have been woundering what an extra cell and a fet mod might do to them. Maybe even a faster motor or something. But alas, they only turn in one direction like Miki said, so I'm not in a hurry to pick one up.
I don't mind the animal bodies so much. I was kinda thinkin about a putty and paint job with a decepticon or autobot logo (Transformers).
If I did get serious about this and picked one up, the first thing I would do would be rip out that voice box that makes that rediculous growling noise though.

Cause I ride around town on my low-rider bicycle.

Tomy put the noise maker in the controller, not the beast. Kinda lame. If the controller is on, but the beast is off, you still get the growls and walking sounds when you press a button. If I did get serious about this and picked one up, the first thing I would do would be rip out that voice box that makes that rediculous growling noise though.

I think they suck, personally. Me, mod one of them? Fuck that. Those aren't worth it as far as I care. I'd rather see Ridge Racer series Bit cars. That's something I could be serious about. I didn't have time to give links or anything, but who cares.
