Yeah....that is some strange shit. But, keep looking because I've seen it around for a hell of a lot less than that.

The Mach 5 is kick ass by the way. Its like any other Tomy out of the box....slow as shit, but its a cool kit nonetheless....especially if you are old enough to remember that cartoon. It was one of my favs. There is another company out there that sells a Mach 5 and the Racer X Shooting Star. They are bvoth cheap clones, but the shooting star has a kick ass shell if you are in to the speed racer thing.

I bought a Tomy Mach 5 & Lupin III when TE was clearing them out. It does have the cool Mach % wheels too! I've seen the Mach 5 & Shooting Star (RacerX) clones.........

They aren't that much bigger. pretty close in size, its the point that makes them look so much bigger.

I actually want the Lupin III set. I have the anime series and am a fan. The GT-2 Porsche, I'm just gonna get the pullback. It's cheaper for me to just get the shell. Maybe I'll someday be able to shell out $30 to $40 for a SBCG. but not today. I'm starting to catch a 1/18th bug.
