Zip MT steering question
Took a header off the kitchen counter with a fetted MT. It still works but the front wheels stay pulled all the way to the right when sitting. Nothing feels stuck(wheels move freely). Steering still works but if I don't steer left, it goes right. Haven't broke one of these down so before I do if anyone has a suggestion of where to look first it would be appreciated.

I have, it's very simular to a bit, just a larger spring on a longer arm. If it got stuck on one side of the spring that would cause the problem he discribed. Normally the "pin" sits between the two metal parts of the spring, thereby automatically centering it when nothing is touched on the directional. Because he is outside of this it presses the pin all the way to one side or the other (depending on what side it poped out on) I would bet money on it that this is his problem.

yeah but there are still gears in the mt steering...some pretty big ones, about 3 total(and hella hard to put back together)...im thinking youll need to take the bottom cover off under the front 2 wheels to make sure it wasnt the spring...its hard to get back together but its easier than doing it from the top. alot easier.

ok success
the spring was screwed up. It wasn't off but it was to the side a little. What a pain in the ass these things are. But I learned a lot. Took the bottom off. After numerous attempts and resoldering wires, I got it. If I have to go in again it'll be a lot easier.
And to HirotoR34, you smart ass. Trust me I learned. I was playing with the baby on the counter and when I dodged her, thats when I took the header. Won't do that again. Especially with a fetted one. Thanks guys.
