UnForgetable

Post by DarkTari »

I was just thinking the other day about all the Pimp Azz rides I've seen
over the years, there have been a lot of great ones. Then there are the
few that really stick to memory, the ones that impressed me to no end.
Looking at all the techniques we have out there now from shared information,
and the skild Pimps that continueously seem to improve their skilz, it all had
to start somewhere, there was someone that did it 1st, broke the mold, lead the way!
These are the rides I want to know about, the rides that impressed you the most...1st !
Let's see 'em..........

There are a lot of Pimps out there, to me that just broke the mold!
Crazy Dave has done some miraculous shit, just look at his gallery!
And this is the 1st one that just made me go bonkers......

This was so "Pimp", Toy East added it to their "Perfection Line"

Mine is easy. The two rides that have inspired me the most are 1st and formost Mivas contest winning ride.

I saw this at the beggining of my modding journey. It made me realize what was possible w/ 1:64. I know I am not alone here either.

The second is out of Hugh's garage.

From the Summer time Swing & Bling. Basically this is a perfect shell, but most importantly to me is it beat out what I thought at the time my best work ever w/ the Cabriolet. Hugh's ride made me rethink what is possible and up my standards. Since then I feel it's made me put out better work.

Well back when all people were doing was lowering and putting on big exhaust, this is the one that made realize there was something more.

This is the one that made me realize they could go faster than shit.

I got 2 more that really stood out and made me sink even deeper into this hobby.
Of course Sinned's shit just inspired me to body modding with reckless abandon but these, these.................

I still have this one on my board at work!

And this is the 1st bB pickup I can remember, a personal favorite!

The moment I saw that pic I thought about TE's "borrowing" of the idea. I'd say Dave's Pro Stocker is my favorite bit of all time.

Welp, there's just too many to choose one.
So far, everything posted to this point would be on my list.
Another that would be on my personal list is betty.k's off-road bits.
I'm convinced that there were no plans on MT's until betty.k showed us that these little suckers can and should go off-road.

Dear Life Cereal, Where do you get off? Part of a balanced breakfast and delicious? Who do you think you are? By now you may have guessed I'm speaking ironically and have nothing but good things to say about what you do. Life cereal do not change a thing.

i hate to blow my horn but i only had pictures of the mini z to go by when i came up with the suspension bits, there were a few good mt's around but no truly dirtworthy ideas.
but after that i stumbled onto prof farnsworth's site and found out that the germans were the kings of micro engineering!
