Herbie in Da Hood
Got my Herbie today. It's pretty cool, I'm really happy with it.
Notice the matching controller. Pretty cool, I might just have to leave it a Herbie now.
It's nicely detailed. A VW purist might argue that the taillights are too large for a '63, and the handle is too high on the front deck lid. The side morror is no where near close to accurate, they should have left it off. I could go on, but nit picks aside, this is one of the nicest looking Zip Zap bodies I've seen.
It has the newstyle motor and motor clip. I vaguely remember someone mentioning these.
So by now I bet your wondering how it looks on the chassis. So here ya go.
It sits suprisingly nice on the chassis. A bit high in back, but it's actually already low in front. I went to stick it on a tab lowered chassis, and immediately realized why it sits so high in back. The damn screw that holds the motor down is hitting the body. I was already thinking of raising the rear deck lid, and I think that would help here, but meantime, I'll probably dremel that screw down.

Damn it man... I hate RS and now I gotta go.
Dear Life Cereal, Where do you get off? Part of a balanced breakfast and delicious? Who do you think you are? By now you may have guessed I'm speaking ironically and have nothing but good things to say about what you do. Life cereal do not change a thing.

I wish I got 2, then I wouldn't be so emotionally torn.
Mod it, don't mod it, mod it, don't mod. Aww hell, I'm at don't mod it again.
I'm no fan of Disney movies either. I had got this because it's a '63 Beetle. I had every intention to have it modded out before the end of the day, but then I got it, and I looked at it, and it's cool. Take away the personality Disney gave it, and Buddy Hackett, and you got a rough neck little '63 Beetle that looks ready to race. I dig it.sessiz wrote: Soooo....I hate the herbie movies but I want one of these.
