1:43 epoch locking differential question

Post by Sporttracguy »

I wasnt sure where to put this, i didnt see a section for 1:43 scale or for epochs so i figured this was a good as any. I have an epoch indoor racer (wrx) and i did a quad cell upgrade,, the power is there but the differential is killing my performace,, is there a way to lock this thing?

Thanks

Generally locking the differential makes things worse, if your spinning out when starting it’s usually because the differential is dirty and locking and/or one of the front wheels are binding.

I agree with LB, but if you insist, you can use a bit of sill putty to lock it, and it's removable.

The reason im locking it is because of the 4 cell mod i did. having more power breaks the differential free and it will spin causing slow starts.. also when i turn i lose alot of power to one of the wheels due to the differential. I locked it on my xmod and it made a world of difference, i just figured it would work the same with the epoch
