Question on changing the controller charge time

Post by zeeky »

I'm planning on doing a dual cell mod to my ZZMT. Both of the batteries I ordered will total 300mAh, and the timing cap inside the controller is marked 22uf. Simply replacing the timing cap with a 47uf capacitor would only put 256mAh into the battery. Does anyone have an idea to get it closer to 300mAh? (Yup, i'm a noob, lol)

no shit :?

1. wiring 2 cells in series won't double the mah rating, it doubles the voltage.

2. that also means doubling the charge voltage. so it won't matter what cap you use, you don't have enough voltage.

I just modded a MT with parallel battery packs.

Which cap do I change to double the charge time or more?

I sort of asked a question i could've answered...

I spent so much time thinking about how to mod the controller to get a full charge out of the batteries that I forgot that hooking up multiple batteries increases the voltage and not the capacity. You can lock this thread, I sort of deserve it...

(In other words, I wanted to get a longer run-time between charges)

ya know, the easiest way to double the charge time is to charge it twice

Yes, and the easiest way to mod a MT is not to, right?

We want to change the charge time so we don't have to do multiple chages.
