ZZ or SE?

General discussions, new info, and all stuff that's how you say, off the hook. Bit, ZZ, SE, MT, SS... as long as it's micro, it's here.

ZZ or SE?

Post by 99skyline »

I can't decide whether to get a Zip Zap or Zip Zap Special Edition. I've already had both and I really like the originals and the SE I had was when they first came out and I have heard that Radioshack has fixed the chatter and made it lighter and whatnot. I've been looking at information on both of them at MRCC (but its pretty gay there so w/e.) and here and it seems like a pretty even match between the SE and ZZ so, if you have the time and you have an SE or ZZ please tell me what you think I should get. Thanks in advance.

It depends on you. Are you going to performance mod it? just body mods or leave it stock?

I recently got back into it and bought 3 SEs. The GT500, Aston Martin and the 63 Vette. They are really fast out of the box. Now this is comparing it to some Gen 1, fet modded SE cars with puarple motors. Out the box, the old modded ones were still a slight bit faster but for having a red motor and blue gears the new ones would have done really well in a race around a course. I just go back and forth in my garage though.

If your fun is in modding though. I think the ZZ mods are still a little more attainable unless you're an electronics or body guru.

you can buy a couple extra shells wit the money left over....more fun to mod than an SE.

Probably mostly performance because I'm not all that good for body work or anything. I'm gonna practice more on body and performance though. This one will basically be a practice.
