:?

I think you misunderstood me, j.

I was meaning if you made that shell available I would buy one and set them up like that for mine... :-( sorry for the confusion, but I have no intentions of letting any alloys go... The set with the missing part will be in my box awaiting the right shell/idea to come along, and the pristine set is committed to a truly sick project I have been slowly formulating in my mind... (Scala43 implys 1/43 scale... so I'm working on making that happen)

Again, I apologize for any confusion...

On a brighter note... because I feel so bad for causing this confusion, I will accelerate my experimentation on the kit racer gears/tiny Daytons and whitewalls combo that I've been working on, and if I pull that off, I will donate a set to this project.

Once again... sorry, I didn't think my post was implying anything like that, but somehow that's how you took it...My bad.

Damn jmays, you're like a kick ass sculpter or somethin'.

We'll have to see the finished product, but I just may have a set of alloys I might trade for a couple castings, but we'll just wait and see. ;)
...crazy man, crazy...dig it.

the white or the base of the car is all styrene plastic u can find at you local hobbie shop. and the putty is squadron also at the shops.
some model glue, i use testers and it melts together were ever the plastic and glue meet.

J good call on the rims. If I may suggest, you should possibly putty some ends on the holes tho to bring it all together and do a white walling to the tires. Hehe, this is what happens when you post the whole thing from start to finish, smart asses like me put thier nose where it doesn't belong.

thanks for the tip, i am always open for suggestions. i was at wlly world looking for a diecast that had a contenental kit but as usual came home empty handed.

white walls would real fine, and i have a few sheets of gold leaf i got from work i used on chocolate. kt . 23 3/4 deep . that would lay on those hubs nicely, i could possible use the gold leaf on the trim as well, but have not decided if this treatment would render the look i am after.

i want it to be a stock looking body with the lowered stance and some period rims, like what would have been offered at the time the 60 impala was produced.

give up some ideas pimps.

Ok, i know that when somebody sees a car they really like they say "it takes my breath away!".

But now it is literally - it really did take my breath away!
Do i need a better signature?

Rims? The ones you have are nice (Levin rims right?), as somone mentioned the multi-spoke gold ones, the chrome "Drag-Lite" style rims, or the Cragar style rims would look pimp on this. Can't wait 'till it's done!
