my take on all this is my OG MS is pretty good - steers straight, blah blah.
my MS Sport really isn't that noisey, not as noisey as my MS Pro anyway. So far I've been having some luck with the MS Sports.
I like my MS Pro - who wouldn't like a booster, but as I said before, it's probably my most noisey car I have, sounds like it's all in the gears and how well they fit together or don't fit together.
But... my I like my Fairlady much better than my MS Pro

Dear Life Cereal, Where do you get off? Part of a balanced breakfast and delicious? Who do you think you are? By now you may have guessed I'm speaking ironically and have nothing but good things to say about what you do. Life cereal do not change a thing.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying the newer ones are bad, just saying the quality control seems to be slipping.
On my Sports I've discovered the noisy gear mesh is due to the hole being too large in the middle gear, and the gear bouncing around. If you have an extra gear and replace it, it quiets it down drastically. Now that I think of it, we were talking about bearings at TRC, and I think it would be very beneficial to put a bearing in that gear.

I've already got a plan. Put the bearings in the chassis, attach the idler gear to an axle for an idler gear shaft, and let the idler gear shaft spin free in the chassis. It might create more inertia, but it would be way smooth.
I am thinking of how a ball diff could be done. I just need time, and money, and more time to make money.

wonder if that added "inertia" would cause your bit to tweek to one side?
sounds like a killer mod crazy!

What Superfly said.....I agree
I just got a better repsonse than I expected from them. My 27mhz MS Pro transmitter stopped working properly, the forward toggle just didn't work. I e-mailed them and the reply I got back was "new controller is in the mail" with no request for me to send back my broken one.
And to top it off, I'd say it got here in about 3-4days of when I e-mailed them. Thats what I call customer service.
Right now I have 3 MS's, one sport, one pro, one original. I don't notice the difference in gear noise but thats probably because I am oblivious.
