Guys, search around. That JOW dude that's been selling Voltz, Calsonics, Initial D, AM sets, etc., his shipping is ridiculous and he's in the US! You can find some better deals, even for cars coming from overseas. Go deep in Google. I've been cringing watching some of those auctions. The prices look good, but once you tack on his 10 to 13 dollard "shipping" charges, they ain't so good.

Yeah, I noticed that. I shopped around for the Automodellista set elsewhere, and the best I came up with was $49.99!(no joke) I asked him why his shipping charges were so outrageous. I've yet to invoke any response, but I'm starting to think that it may just be that he decided on one shipping price for everyone???? who knows.
All I know is that I finally got that set, and Bit Char-G no less.....

Wow. That is a lot for the AM set. I just checked, and you actually did pretty good I think. If you decide you want the Initial D set, don't go over 25 for it because I know I can get them for that. I emailed that dude a question too and haven't heard anything back.
Yeah DT, I've seen him throw the Voltz up there at least four times. Don't know if it's the same one and he wasn't getting his reserve, but as far as I can tell, he had multiple Voltz's, Calsonics, etc. The last Voltz went for 33 (plus 9.99 shipping). I didn't bid higher than 28 on it. Check it out...

If I can snag one of these MS sets cheaply, I'll probably forgo searching for the Tomy set.Finks wrote:Nice, you got the good one!
Yep, they be the same.. I think the OG Tomy boxes look more exotic for some reason.. Maybe it's the Japanese text

ohhh!, and let's not forget the japanenglish blurb on the box...
"This machine, the integration of the latest technology has full function in its such tiny body. It can run maximum 2 minutes by quick charge of only 45 seconds. Radio Control machine also evolves as time goes by!"
i never did understand what they meant with that last sentence...
