initial thoughts...
my skyline came yesterday and this thing is tiny. there's a post on ripper's saying it was proportional, but it is not. it steers like a bit. the base that looks like the rs viper/vette charging base is just a piece of plastic. the car charges in the controller like the x-tuners.
i'll post more when i have some more time to play with it.

i took the body off mine and it looks identical to lucky's. the steering is motorized, so you may think it might be propo, but...arfin wrote:No, the one lucky had was from TE, and his was propo. When you say steers like a bit, do you mean magnetic steering? If so the TE ones are much better.
1) i don't see any steering pot
2) the steering trim is via good ol' fashioned lever on the bottomside
3) there's a return spring
so i'm pretty confidant that mine isn't a lemon or something and at least the doyushas are non-propo. now i don't know about the toyeast ones, but like i said, the internals look identical to mine so....?????

this car, assembled, can fit within a zz shell with about a 1/4" along the sides to spare.viperdout wrote:It's a kokam 145, and it fits in ZZs and bits nicely.richh wrote:how little? these things are tiny with a capital tiny.viperdout wrote:Hmmmm, might have to get one. Well, worth a shot trying. I am really tempted to buy one, as it's about 25 shipped from TE.richh wrote:this car, assembled, can fit within a zz shell with about a 1/4" along the sides to spare.viperdout wrote:It's a kokam 145, and it fits in ZZs and bits nicely.richh wrote:how little? these things are tiny with a capital tiny.viperdout wrote:Hmmmm, might have to get one.
