Now this X-trek sounds interesting, but I'm not gonna go out of my way to get one.
So, um, hey Bonzerdude, you got a review out there, on the X-trek Pro? I'd like to know more.
SWG, if i don't like it, i might sell it or just keep it because it is rare.

The X-treks look pretty sweet to me. Bonzer, could you try to look up where you found them for £14.99? I'd personally like to order one ASAP.
Hmm....I wonder how they'd perform after a Li-Po and FETmod.

Lithiums are great!
Triple the speed...
four times the duration....
And they explode if you crash them too hard!

It arrived Finally! Here are my first thoughts:
Packaging : Packaging was GREAT! Made of a nice solid cardboard, nice shiny Metl tech letters . Open the box, inside we have a Plastic type case ( Like the ZZ case that protects the ZZ bodies) Which held everything in place.
Take that off and you have the Merchandise The merchandise sits on top of a gray plastic covered in a suede like material, the instructions are located under this plastic.
body Detail: The body is Very Detailed, and to scale. My Metl Tech had the White BMW Body. The Body itself is very nicely painted, as are the Grills, and other details.
The Windshield is a tinted colored plastic, which connects to the front headlights. The front headlights have an ugly design imprinted on them, which will be painted over shortly. The back lights are not see through as they are molded with the body.
The body is actually quite heavy, i don't have a micro scale but the body seems heavier then the Chassis!
Body Clip: I felt this body clip deserved it's own category because of it's ease of use. With the Zip Zap bodies, some are harder to come off then others, i have actually broken some just trying to take them off! These bodies were Very easy to just pop off, just have to push a black tab on the body and it comes right off of the chassis.
Speed: I haven't given mine a Full charge (about 30 min vs. an hour full charge) But i don't think the speed will change. It's faster then a stock ZZ, but slower then a Dual cell (this is by memory), BUT DAMN DOES IT HAVE TOURQUE! This little motor is a BEAST! Can't exactly do a test without a camera, but I’m telling you it's tuff.
Propo: The propo was very good for such a small car, only wish it could go slower, the slowest i can get it to go is about 1/6 it's original speed. The steps in steering was about 15, only way i can tell was by the sound difference. The steering is great, this little motor is also very strong. I counted 29 steps each way. What i found weird was that the steering motor was getting hot when i was using the steering.
Durability + Portability: This thing is durable! I can see nothing that could be taken off besides the rims. The steering is secure, the motor is not going anywhere, and the PCB is under some very nice plastic protection. Very well built, and very organized insides!
The reason why it is so portable is first because it has no Antennae (just one built under the car!!) ! I really love this because i can easily stick it in my pocket, along with the controller (also no antenna) which is also very small. The Body is low, and pretty much the same length as a ZZ body.
The bad: The first thing that i noticed, was that the motor doesn't seem upgradeable. It is found UNDER the Antenna. The Antenna is a gold colored piece of long steel, which comes out of the PCB, over the motor, and then runs under the chassis. It is attached to the chassis by 4 bumps, and probably glued down.
The second problem i noticed is it has a slight lag ONLY in Forward Reverse. What i mean by lag is that if it is going in reverse, it continues even when i let go, ONLY for about a second. This doesn't happen much at all.
The controller:I like the controller because it's so portable, but i still consider it bad because it takes getting used to. I use both my hands when operating it, and I’m getting the hang of it. I also like how smooth the buttons move. But again, a gun type controller would be MUCH MUCH MUCH better
I know, no pictures, sorry about that but it's all i can offer right now! Any questions JUST ASK!
