I've got one of those Tamiya tanks Betty mentioned, here's a comparison. I would probably stud the rear tires to make it work with the tank tread's slots.
The treads are rubbery, but they're still firm enough you should be able to skid some so your turning radius shouldn't be too huge. Should work fine on even slick surfaces (wood floors), but they'll really shine doing like mud, snow, carpet, probably some rock crawling...

If you say they come with the kit, then I should be ok for now. but if you dont need them, I'll be more than happy to toss a few bucks in your direction. I'm sure i could put them to good use.betty.k wrote:in that kit you should have some smaller drive wheels which are the same diameter as those 3 little rollers in your pic. they would be a good size.
if you don't have them i got 4 spare (2 for frizzen, 2 for clint) if you want them
wanna pic?

I was wondering how long it'd take for someone to notice the Land Rover Discovery I keep sneaking into pics. It's a diecast Matchbox that I picked up from Target. I'll even post up what mods it needs to fit if you want. http://www.matchbox.com/us/product.asp? ... type_id=17
I also got a Chevy Blazer 4x4 which also fits a ZZ-M with a few mods. http://www.matchbox.com/us/product.asp? ... type_id=17 Then next time I go back, I'm gonna try to pick up one of these Mercedes-Benz 280 GE http://www.matchbox.com/us/product.asp? ... type_id=17 as well as another Discovery.

I hope your doing better health wise clint. I was looking for something else when I saw this thread and what you had done was awesome. Have you had a chance to work on this again yet? Anyway, sorry about draging up an old thread, I just think this is one of the coolest trucks I've seen.Clint wrote:No sorry, I haven't been able to work on anything in the past months.leftcoastminis wrote:any updates?
