How pissed would you be?

General discussions, new info, and all stuff that's how you say, off the hook. Bit, ZZ, SE, MT, SS... as long as it's micro, it's here.

My SE celled Nikko monster chassis disappeared over a year ago and hasn't been heard from since... I've given up on ever finding it.
Yeah but as ALL women have that "Memory Gene", they can't remember where they put it, but she can go back to something that happened 10 fuckin years ago and bring that shit up. I know ALL of you married Pimps have experienced that shit before ......

Nuff Said.... 8-)

That's my method. Pick the most undesireable location in the house and set up shop there. My basement is one of those nasty kinds with spiderwebs everywhere, a little water leaking in along one wall, junk everyhwhere. If I didn't have that space, I couldn't do the hobby. I have like 7 projects going at once in 3 different scales, with parts, pieces and tools all over the place.

Oh man, that is one neat place you have DT.

You have all the concentration you need to do those sweet rides.

And those orbs in the photos really must have aided in your creativity and craftsmanship!

Damn, DT.... your basement is nicer than most of my crib, but the reasoning for living where we do was so the kids could destroy this place while they're little so they don't mess up the nice place we're eventually upgrading to...

...and you're right about the memory thing... in an arguement, she brings up shit that even I've forgotten...

yeah, i go through it with my mom
"wheres my little moster truck"
"i dont know i moved some stuff eirlier"
"moved it where?"
"into that cardboard box over there"

ever tried looking for a steering spring in a 1x1 ft box full of your ruined projects that your mom just carlessly swiped into a box in one clean blow and all she could think about was "how clean my desk looks now"
dammit, why couldnt she just have been a nun or something.
is this thing on?

I'd like to jump on the bandwagon as well..My old workspace used to be the computer desk, that way if I needed it, help was just a click away. Unfortunately though my mom is a fuckin OCD neat-freak so I used to get my shit cleaned up in the middle of a project. Luckily for me she never threw anything away(knowing how pissed I'd be if she did) but it was still super annoying to be working on something and then have it moved somewhere else. In her defense though, it was still our computer desk and I wasn't the only one to use it..

New one... as the ocd's in my family cant cope with the mess, got some slight remodeling done in my basement... basically moved some shelves to form a wall to put my part out of sight, which is rude as hell in the first place, and they didnt even say anything about it....

so now my usable room and floorspace has been halfed, and stuff ruined/lost

also, 0.7 gram livingroom flyer frames don't fair well under boxes, and thanks for bustin' a 1 ounce 450 sqaure inch parkflyer wing :?

Same problem here, except in our household we all have our own computers and my computer desk is in my room, not to mention I had to go into the basement every time I needed to glue or solder something. Then I'd get yelled at for leaving the soldering iron downstairs. I can't exactly box it up with a tip that melts skin, can I? I'd come home from school some days and I couldn't find anything, since it had all been swept into boxes. I'd ask why, since it was in my room and she never had to go in there and she'd say, "well I couldn't stand it." I can't tell you how many times I've torn apart R/Cs only to go outside for a minute or run to the lhs for a part only to have all the screws that I neatly laid out thrown into a plastic bag or box, or just swept up into a damn pile, then take crap apart because I realize the short screw I put in somewhere belonged elsewhere.
:puter:

Now I live in a dorm room where it's as messy or as clean as I want. Men as a whole might seem a bit messy to women, but I bet you if you go into any old guy's cluttered garage and ask him where something is, he'll be able to locate it for you within a minute.

Dave, I think it's time you cleared yourself at the dining room table to eat some dinner. You will probably get your ass chewed out, but she'll certainly understand where you're coming from.

Wow, that's some scary shit! Luckily, my wife hates my hobby so much that she just ignores it. I can leave my shit out and it never gets touched. She'll just bitch at me until I take care of it myself. Plus, nobody goes into my new "workshop" anyways. 8-)

Tru ! But I know some really sloppy ass women that put men to shame when it comes to that. My niece, just the prettiest, tiniest thing you ever laid your eyes on, but go in that bedroom..........

my problem is not the wife , its her three boys that seem to think that the cool looking mini screwdriver or neat ass mini rc pieces and parts are there for the picking, its funny how if one item on a desk full of shit gets moved or touched you know it right off hand! i had one of these boys grab a finger nail file that i use for body mods and try sanding on my unfinished cars, , its cooled down now a bit after all my pissing and moaning and chewing out some kids for screwing up my shiat...
