Very nice work Nerd with a G!
A Red ZZ motor is perfect for MT steering, even with the stock MT steering gears. The 3rd battery will also help torque up the steering.
For weight up front, wrap some wire in the wheelwells. Low CG is key
to keeping the MT from flipping.

For my front wheels I used solder , and it worked very good.
