I was looking at mine only a short time ago (bought it hot off the press, my first 1/64 - actually they're 1/50).
If you think the fact that it has a diff is impressive, wait until you open it and discover it's actually an ADJUSTABLE BALL DIFF!
Considering what we as a community now routinely do with 1/64's, there's plenty of scope for modifining these into little flyers. The one real proplem that isn't easy to over come is that the steering does lock up a lot.
I think a great deal of the reason these failed is that back then too few people had mastered hacking up little cars.
