Ok my first attempt at a Clay based mold the "Lead sled" the 49 merc. this is withought to much detail but I hope to get more on it before I cast it.

If this goes well I plan to mold more bodies. :-o

I added a Grill that I cut out of a Di-Cast Car I think I need to sink it farther into the front to make it come out right but still working on that.

Yeah, that Renault looks great.

I have been thinking about this. Are you staying with bits? Or would you consider ZZ size as well?

HottieHot, do you mean the Mercury isn't a popular car?

@SWG, if zips are considered too, then my vote would be for a Toyota Prerunner, or a late 80's toyota pickup (hilux, even), Depending on how the new Takar/Tamiya chassis looks with a Zip body, I think that would be awesome.

Original Land Cruiser would be sweet, too.

Being an oldschool Vdub fan, I'd say;
Type 1 -(Beetle) '58-ish with the oval rear window
Type 2 -(Bus) The 21 or 23 window versions.
Type 3 -(Notchback, Squareback, Fastback) I prefer Fastbacks
Karman Ghia -mid '60s
Or, even the VW thing :lol:

Anything else I think of, has already been manufactored by RatShack.
But, then again, if there is more interest in one of the discontinued bodies, then you'd be able to skip the designing of the body, and just fine tune it. :-o

No, I think it's something to big. Should the length be reduced.
Sorry, looks like a cartoon-car!

Let me try, Hottie...DarkTarie gebeten "Wo kauften Sie das Spielzeug? Gibt es vorhandener?"

I hope this is a good translation...as we found out my German is not as good as I thought. Ich hoffe, daß dieses eine gute Übersetzung... ist, da mein Deutsch nicht so gut wie I Gedanke ist.
