Lol, that's what I was thinking. It's also the first time I've seen something here where rather than thinking "how could I build one like that?" I thought, "I wonder how much rrb would charge to make one of those for me?"hue35 wrote:Fuck yeah, man... this ride blew right past inspiring me to finally build a crawler and went straight to scaring me away from building one.

Here's a short video. The clicking of the controller is annoying but seems to pervade all of my videos as I have no editing skills whatsoever. There's some sweet Highwaymen in the background tho.

Yeah, it's kind of a stick upside down in that zzmt axles articulate at the center by design and a stick's axles articulate from the top.payaso wrote: Almost looks the a micro version of the "stick"
I hope not! Start hacking. It's too much fun not to.hue35 wrote:... this ride blew right past inspiring me to finally build a crawler and went straight to scaring me away from building one.
I've been asked this many times but usually it scares people off. I have close to $100 in materials alone in this one. It's def. well within the realm of possibility but usually I end up trading for other things or making them for family and close friends. Anybody got a Spektrum DX6 they want to get rid of?SuperFly wrote: It's also the first time I've seen something here where rather than thinking "how could I build one like that?" Thanks for the compliments.

Believe me, I'm totally realistic and understanding of how much one would be worth. Hell, most of my mods just involve a little solder, putty, glue and paint, and if I wanted to get back less than minimum wage and the cost of the materials I'd have to charge over $100redrustbucket wrote:I've been asked this many times but usually it scares people off. I'd like a crawler, but I'm better at making them go fast. I screwed up my MT that I did the artic mod to, and been too lazy to fix it. So I have alot of respect for the guys that do this stuff, but RRB's stuff is always amazing and above and beyond, and this one just topped anything he ever did before. I don't know that I can properly express how amazing that is.

Cool. PM me if you are seriously interested and maybe we can work something out. This one was requested a year ago so I hope you're not in a big rush.SuperFly wrote:Believe me, I'm totally realistic and understanding of how much one would be worth. Thanks man. I try to innovate as much as possible on each one otherwise I get bored and it's extremely difficult to stay motivated to finish them. Not having cable TV helps a lot too. I'm stoked with how this one came out, using epoxy was a big step forward in the strength but is that much more time consuming. I'm really excited to see how the waterproofing works but I'm too scared to try it before I deliver it because if something fucks up there's not enough time to fix it.crazydave wrote:I'd like a crawler, but I'm better at making them go fast. I would have liked to add a couple more things to this one, mainly a winch but there was not enough room with the suspension set up I did. I have a lipo for my next one as well as some carbon fiber and I hope to have at least proportional throttle but we'll see which direction it goes when it happens.
Your Pro Stockers are awesome and have me contemplating a burnout special with rubber slicks and a front line lock but who knows? My focus definitely falls toward 4wds and crawlers. I'm not big on the Fast and Furious tuner type cars though they are the hotrods of the old days now. I'm more of an old school guy.

Finafuckin'ly
Finally done. I'm not too stoked on how the paint came out but it's not too bad for a 2 day paint job after the first one was a bust. The paint stripper I used ate up the epoxy some ( aircraft grade ) and the 2 different paints were not cooperating with each other but it's done. Photobucket is dicking up again so here's more of my crappy video skills.
