a couple of the 3 dollar ones

General discussions, new info, and all stuff that's how you say, off the hook. Bit, ZZ, SE, MT, SS... as long as it's micro, it's here.

I'll give you that the yellow truck body *would* look better lowered, but it's not gonna happen on *that one*, ever. After that pic, it continued to evolve...

That body height took some shaving and I'll say it about the lowest you can go with that truck with a dual cell without putting the battery in bed. That truck was a test-bed: dual cell, articulating motor pod, and fairly scale looks.

Spare tire came from the Blue Wagon (ZZ-M motor) that I changed rims/tires on. One front rim broke, it became my spare, the others are waiting in the parts box for a new life on something else.

The best thing about these is that it's a blank canvas on the cheap!
Bad thing is this thread has woken the ghost of Charge-n-Go modding, the man in my avatar might be starting a wagon...

yes the decals on the sides from zipzaps acura. Some other are electrical tape and packaging tape. The "4x4" sticker is made by label maker.

I like your new look! So are you changing your opinion about it being "an ugly truck" yet? Have you given any thought to tire grooving?

When did the add the in-bed detail? All my trucks have the flat bed area, not the molded in lines on the floor.

he added the bed detail and moved the roll bar forward. my bed is flat, i got my roll bar moved forward yesterday. looks alot better in the correct location, i would of never noticed it until he mentioned what he did, lol

Thanks. I am not harsh but I said "ugly" coz this kind of yellow is not a sharp color. When you have some zipzaps bodies, your would understand why. This "yellow" has some kind of dirt and dark. I would like the "red" from the wagon truck but the design is quite weird.

This rough tire is fine for rough track. When it is running on flat ground, the traction is pretty low and too much drift. Actually that is not easy to find a tire that is close to that size. either too big or too small. If you want a little bigger tire, try to find from your lego toys.

Yes I did some mod for the truck bed with only black packaging tape. easy to DIY. If you see carefully, you can find there are 2 more mod I did and not mentioned for my truck appearance.
