They have them in Target, I've been thinking of getting one, but my Target store is a bit out of the way.

Nice find!

Go buy one. How do these relate to the TerrainTitan / Q-Buggy?

What's your gripe with IR? Sure it's just line of sight, and if the area you want to play is flooded with too much IR it may get sketchy; but you can run 4 at once, it gets the PCB footprint smaller so you can do more with it, it's smaller simpler and easier to pocket so you can play more places. You can throw a couple more LEDs into the tx, or reshape the lens for a wider path, follow the car with the TX, or just sit where the line of sight covers the whole field of play.

I'm not seeing it on the Target Site, but couple different Terrain Titans....

A WalMart near wok has them too. Little pricey though, I'm still waiting for WalMart to slash he 14.99 price on the Terrain Titans but they haven't done so - maybe they're hot sellers but it doesn't look that way to me.

Ditto on what Frizz says about IR - the IR systems on my Terrain Titans works great...sometime RF can be a PITA.

My experience told me IR reception is not as good as radio control car. I had a Terrain Titan buggy. The steering is quite bad. Maybe I got a bad car.

Q steer car is a lot better than the Q steer buggy. It is a great r/c toy for kids .

BTW - I swear I wan't drunk during my last post...

Yeah, the Terrain Titan steering mechanics are horribly sloppy! Other than that, I've had pretty good luck.

SpinMaster AirHogs XS Motors "Thunder Trucks"

Walmart has them too. Dropped the hammer... I'm now the proud owner of a Chevy-ish truck. Red with blue flames and chevron treads.

Box shows 4 styles: Truck red with blue, Truck dark with green, Wagon red with clown, Car yellow with black 2-tone. All show chevron tires

BENCH REVIEW:

Looks like a *basically* stock Q-Buggy chassis. Tires are taller and wider. Body has extended front-tab and standoffs on sides. The IR recciever is mounted higher off board and has a support block under it, PCB has cover. Charge port now a 4 trace PCB hanging out of bottom of car instead of the 2-tab Bit/Zip style.

5t pinion, 6t idler smallside. Guessing same as Q-buggy. Motor is Pink-ish endbell like the performance one that came in the Toolbox thing.

Relax. It's an honest question. These are RWD.

The TX is longer, and the charge cover has been cut back so it opens farther.

Steering is a little weaker than I'd like, but it still beats many cars and definately the Charge&Go trucks in my "Steering Challenge" where it must follow a steering input over a standard cramped-up Qwerty keyboard converted to Dvorak the key caps are differing heights to make it more challenging.

This truck feels like a Pre-Runner. Has enough torque to tackle little things, but momentum is your friend.
I like it.
