2010 tomy/takara releases (combat mario kart?)

found the 2010 lineup of new choro-q hybrids. they are lithium ion equipped and have better reception than the old q's but are hard to mod. they go fast enough out of the box so gears and motors are really not an issue.
the grey lambo looks amazing, colour is bad but the shape is like a countach but full of great angles.

the link to the mario kart is interesting, the controller appears to have a list of power up's with l.e.d's to go with them and a speaker. if this means there will be a IR combat style racing system to go with this series im not to sure, but it looks like a serious possability.
i have no idea how they will implement the mines (banana power up) but if it works this could be the greatest micro series ever. i do like the idea of the boost being locked untill a power up is picked up, also homing and streight shooting knockout abilities are standard mario kart pick ups.
i knw this is a lot of speculation but the controllers look promising
