i just fryed my car tonight, i was bored so i messed with a 9v batterie and some wires
dont ever put a 9v to any board or motor, its to much for it. i made the board smoke. and the engine still runs but it makes a wierd noise and its slow. so there goes on MS pro and a 2.2 motor. fucking gay im pissed. but it was cool so see the gray smoke. a dark gray smoke come from under side of the board. from a wierd thing next to the capacitor. well now i have a replacement spring for my other MS yay ive been looking for one.

i got a question anyone sell just the car? without hte remote in pro dual speed form?

Well that sucks to hear. I was looking foward to building a 9v dragster.

It's also very interesting, because a guy at TRC claimed to have pumped as much as 12v with no probs. I don't think 9v are pushing a real high current, so I'm wondering what's up.

Did you try a different motor to see if it makes the noise too?

no it was fine for about 30 seconds til it got hot, and somethign must have come loose, now it feels like something is rubbing. if your going to do it dont run if for a long time just a quike nos of it, maybe you can find a capacitor that can hold 9 volts for a few seconds.

Maybe I'll try it with that crappy LXX booster board I've got.

Wouldn't be no big loss if it didn't work.
