Think us older guys are bad?

General discussions, new info, and all stuff that's how you say, off the hook. Bit, ZZ, SE, MT, SS... as long as it's micro, it's here.

Think us older guys are bad?

Post by extrememicros »

Other day at my shop, a guy came in about mid to late 60's, and he asked what micro rc's I carried. Immediate thought was, Grandkids birthday...well to my surprise, not the case, him and 3 of his older buddies play with these things!!! They get together once a week and play Micro Pool he called it. They take ping pong balls and number them and put them on a pool table...and play pool!!! Your car acts as the cue ball. You are allowed to tap, slam or push the ball into the pockets. If you push, you are allowed to push until the ball strays from your car. That is your shot.

He said they'd be interested in racing so, I told him to come back monday and we'd talk racin.

He was sittin here telling me about buying Shen clones at Chuck Homiers sale and crappy clones at a local grocery store, as well as telling me how they tried to fix the steering/return spring on the junk clones to make them better...;o)

I was loving it...so now, as I sit at 29, I don't feel so bad....and I may have a few new older pimps to play with once a week...!!!

Holla

thats awesome!
see, so we're not the "old farts" of the hobby! lol

those are gonna be good racers to have around - stable enough in life to really get in to this thing both from a hobby aspect and $$$ aspect.
Dear Life Cereal, Where do you get off? Part of a balanced breakfast and delicious? Who do you think you are? By now you may have guessed I'm speaking ironically and have nothing but good things to say about what you do. Life cereal do not change a thing.

that would be off tha hook if u made a ramp-shaped bumper and hit the ball and it rolled up the car and u carried it on tha roof of tha car and then had a flipper mechanism to launch it into da air. that would b off tha shizzle
