LXX Q??

I know from reading all the threads that the LXX pcb isnt that great, but what about the Controller?? Any problems forseen with using the controllers to control non LXX cars of the same freq??

I only have LXX and other clones(besides the 1 zz) so I can't compair with tomy and such. But from what I hear its the controllers problem why the range on the LXX sucks. So if you were gonna use it on another car might effect that aswell.

I also have a gerneral controller Q. Why is it that I have 2 cars both 49mhz but when I try to controll one make of car with the other controller the controlls are backwards?

I have Shen's LXX and dome clones as well as BCG and the best overall car is Shen.

As for LXX range/pcb problems. I have none. Its my second best car. I think the rage issue with all BCG/MS/LXX is because of the floppy antenna. I think if you do Dagenerals antenna mod to any of these controllers it would greatly improve the range

Yea Stoli I have though that 2 maybe next timne I am at Radio Shack I will see if they carry the telescoping antenas and try that.

Did you mod yours? cause all my LXX get about 6 feet of good reception then its a gamble from there LOL

I haven;t done one yet on LXX or BCG stlye controller.

Mine gets about 10ft and thats all the space I have/need so I don;t really care right now.

I find it works better if you extend the antenna all the way the use your finger to hold the antenna stright up.

I think its because the antenna isn;t soldered to anything. Just thos 2 metal brackets making contact with them. If you sodlered your antenna directly to the board or at least to those bracket things it would proll be much better. Hog and Ph2t are the electrical experts?

thunder chargers get great range. they only have 27 and 49 tho.

I am guessing that you are talking about the ZZ and another car, that is because the zip zap F/R is backward.

yes but I also have clones that are the same mhz and the f/r is right but the l/r is diff

It is just the way that they wire the car.

Ok say there are 4 different signal A,B,C,D.

one company makes A mean foward, B mean reverse, c mean right, and D mean left.
Another one may say A means reverse, Bmeans forward, Cmeans left, and D means right.
So as long as the controller and the car are set up the same way it works.
