New? Micro - kudos for first to guess

General discussions, new info, and all stuff that's how you say, off the hook. Bit, ZZ, SE, MT, SS... as long as it's micro, it's here.

New? Micro - kudos for first to guess

Post by TeamBonzer »

OK guys, found a new micro today... proved very interesting. Had to take a long hard look at it, then smoke (just to check like).

I,ve posted a bunch of pics on another forum http://www.microrccenter.com/forum/inde ... =15856&st=

It is a lot easier to post pics there. As soon as I get em on the web i'll post more pics here.

First to work out what it is gets KUDOS.

reply in this thread rather than the other place.

cheers

It's a ZipZap Clone from England. Someone posted that here earlier.

DarkTari

those pictures dont do them justice. T%hey must be pre-production samples. The decals look like they have been suck on in those pictures, wheras the ones in the shop have the sharpest paint work I have seen - no transfers or stickers - sweet

Hey you know plenty of us American ebay sellers (not me) have shipped Zip Zaps over seas. I'm hopin' some European ebay sellers will do the same with these, 'cause I sure do want one. Hell, one? I want one of each!

Hey Bonzer dude, offer a package deal of these cars with your track, ship to America, and you got yourself a buyer. :-)

Crazey dave , hi :-) , that occured to me as well, working on it now

TeamBonzer

Also, been racing the one I bought on the BonzerMat, fantastic, their 23,500 motor drives like a toyeast 4.2 pro. I'm going to go and get the other frequency (49mhz) and put together some video footage. The range on the 27Mhz is brilliant (over 20ft indoors), and the controller works standard zips as well. No complaints yet (only had it 1 day though), I do need to test charge and run times a bit, it seems to charge, then run flat very quickly. It has a 100 mah NiMH so i was expecting better than 3 or 4 mins. I'll try it with the slower motors and see if it affects time significantly.

Try giving the battery a full charge (3-5 times) and see how that works.

Darktari, I would normally, but the car came with an inserted leaflet warning against mutiple charges. As the leaflet was added seperately and not part of the instructions, I figured it might be important.

I will be playing with them today (going out now to get another), and let you know what I find.

OK Dudes,

video added to the web site. Its 11mb, so broad band only I suspect. Got both the new Hitari's racing on a simple oval. Had to make it simple cause the turning circle of the hitari's is larger than any other car we have tried.

Apart from that, the cars rock. Both steered straight out the box, controllers work through brick walls, and you get all the upgrades you need. In terms of speed we paced them against a standard zipzap with a 4.2 pro motor, they beat it with 2.15 motors :-D

I would recomend these to anyone

Check out the vid at www.bonzergear.com or http://www.bonzergear.com/assets/multimedia/Hitari.wmv

By the way, I've noticed that the 1/64th scale train set guys have caught up with Bonzer, this might be a useful link for those looking for scenery for their tracks (there is also a link in the message to a group in Washington USA who race 1/64th cars) http://groups.yahoo.com/group/S-Trains/message/27604

Cheers
