$300 zips, is it possible?

a couple of days ago, i was in my mall's radioshack,
and there was this lady in there who new nothing about zips.
so there was an employee there who was rambling about it,
and i heard this:
"Last year, when these zipzaps were sold out in stores,
they went for $300 on eBay"
so im wondering,
is this BS?

I am not sure they went that high, but I can see some over excited parents paying way to much for them like they did with the elmo dolls and PS2's when they came out. I sold my first PS2 for $1000 20 mins after buying it the day they came out (one good thing about working nights at walmart at that time hehe).

I saw a couple people asking 250, and a bunch for 125, but no one was paying.

Why spend that much on a ZZ when for $100 you can get a one of a kind ZZ that has a kick ass paint job and all the trim to boot.

sorry, but i got a radioshack not 5 minutes away, lol
and this was last year were there was no zips to be found

Yep and this year how many zip zaps are to be found ther ewith one of a kind paintjobs, mosfets, PBC swap and duel cell?
I can think of a few that might have a worthy paint job and top notch solder jobs.
