Super bits! some questions
well ive been in and out of bit char-g for about 3 years, i now have 12 or so, thanks to cheap clones lol. but my little cuzin, at 6 years old loves these, and he can really whip my fast ones around the track, i already modded him a car, we call the green machine, (deep green skyline w/ gold rims) he cant stand going somewhere with a big driving space without it, so basicly he loves bits. to the point here, its christmas time... so i bought him a Super bit, the lamborgini, he saw the set online and loves it. i cant belive im giving it to him (i want a super bit lol
) but he likes em more than i do. so...
Are these bits really anything different? like different chassis? it comes with a 1.6 if im correct, but i got the free 3.0 motor gift from toy east. So can somebody give me some insight on what they changed? or didnt?

Well IMO
The superbits have diff chasies and PBC, but they lack in performance with the rance issue.
If its for a 6 YO then he will proly love it thats for sure but to do any real racing.... well out of 4 superbits I only have one that I can get around the track a few times without it losing range and have it just keep going.
If you are ordering from toyeast then I would say get some of them LXX cars as there newer stuff is great
I have had no real problems with them and they are a fraction of the price.

The Super Bits are improved. The new chassis handles better. The cars come in A,B or C frequencies, and the controller can be switched to control any of the 3 frequencies. The new PCB has more power, and the bodies, well you just have to look at them.
The range is not great on them, but no worse than the original Bit Char-Gs. The difference being, when it loses signal it remembers the last command. Which is particularly annoying when racing on a track. It really sucks when you're making good laps, then all of sudden you car starts beating itself into the wall repeatedly.
Another gripe people have, that doesn't bother me so much, but I gotta admit, it is annoying, is that the controller has 2 buttons that do nothing (yet).

No man, i have the 27 and 40.
No one has any problems.
Except one, and that is that with a very fast engine, they are like 2 seconds about stop driving.
That is with a 4.2 PRO or the 3.0 from the high speed set. But a funny thing is that a SQW 3.0 runs great in them.

well my cuzins career in racing the cars consists of, his small kitchen floor, my living room hard wood, my grandmoms basement, and the floors in the mall, basicly, nothing requiring long range. i told him about how the cars do the "keep on going thing", he was kind of wowed, he thought it would be fun to chase it lol. i told him they were completly out of stock on the internet, and all the kids in japan bought the last bunch... so hes really down about not getting one. so i get to give it to him on christmas eve.

I don't really have a problem with range, as I said it about the same as the original Bit Char-Gs. My problem is when I do glitch, it really irritates me watching my car take off on it's own.
If it was just a range issue we could quickly fix that, but this thing with the way it deal with glitching is probably something built into the IC.

well i gave it to him and it was his favorite present, well i busted that thang out and put the 3.0 in it, fired it up and i was amazed, this thing dusts out all of my 3.0s, must be the PCB. the range was really decent, hes was able to drive it from about 25 feet, i didnt see the glitch, but im sure with all the driving he does hes gonna find it. really nice, A+ super bits

It's starting to sound like 40mhz sucks.
Both my super bits are 40 mhz. Stock I only got 5-10 ft, which is the way my first bit was before I removed the crip cap.
I untied the knot in the antenna, and ran it out the back of the PCB, and now I get 15-20 ft, like all my other MS/Tomy cars, but it still glitches within that range, which is why I wonder about the 40mhz, but in all fairness, I think all my cars glitch slightly, and it's just more noticable, because the Super bits keep going when they glitch.
Figure I live in a small apartment with TVs, a computer, a fan, a thermostat, flourescent lights, and a fridge, all with in a small area. It's no wonder my cars glitch sometimes.

the range rocks.
it wants to pop little wheelies with the 1.6 it came with.
the thing rocks.
