I know some of you are outside the USA.
and some of you are in warmer temp areas....(AZ)

but it is swearword cold here in New England.
Sunrise: 7:17 am UV Index: 1, Minimal Sunset: 4:35 pm
Moonrise: 12:15 am Phase: Last Quarter Moonset: 11:26 am
Averages and Records for Jan 15

Thursday:
Continued bitterly cold. Windy with a mix of clouds and sun. Dangerous wind chills approaching -30F. High around 0F. Winds NW at 25 to 35 mph.
Thursday night:
Partly cloudy skies. Cold. Dangerous wind chills approaching -45F. Low -21F. Winds NW at 10 to 20 mph.
I know homies from upstate NY should have colder if not the same temps as I have in middle New Hampshire.
I'm sure Stoli in Canada might report even colder temps..

Having a beard and mustash....it freezes instantly when I walk outside.
Living on the side of a mtn..(north facing) the winds are kicking up...

anyone else liking this weather? if ya dress right for it...it's great.

at -40, you can take a glass of water, throw it in the air, and Ice will land on the ground.

I have only felt temps like that once, or twice in my life, and I'm still scarred from that....lol

Buck up my friend... It can't last forever.

I guess I can't complain about it being in the 60s here..

I've never been in cold close to that cold. I'd probably die of pneumonia. :-(

Try having to go outside for a smoke in this shit. :x
I went back into the meat dept at work and actually started to warm up. The meat dept is around 40 degrees when the fans are running. Felt like summer time.

It's slightly warmer in Philadelphia (7 when I woke up and a high of 22) but the wind is a killer. They did a Code Blue here (take all the homeless off the streets so they don't die from exposure). I was freezing by buns waiting for the bus this morning so I can get to work.

Usually we only get cold weather like this every 5 years or so. I remember back in the 70's when they closed the Public schools in Philly because of the cold. So what did the kids do. Street Hockey and Sleding of course.

Hells yeah it's cold. Up here in Maine (Southern bah haha makes it sound warmer) it's Balls cold as well. Hey Nox I heard that on the top of Mt. Washington day before last it was -100 w/ windchill. That is like 2 degrees off of coldest temp ever. Totally fizukin sick. I love this state, but DAMN this is pushing it. Cars are broken down all over the place on the local and highways. School is being called off here Bilbo due just to the cold. My kid sister is lovin it, snow day and she can still go to the mall. OK now where is the freezin mah arse off smiley. :x

I hate the cold weather, other than the school closing or whatever it's shit.

The outside is filled with snow everywhere, and some shops have closed down cuz of it. I have to shovel the snow, that's not fun at all, if you think it is, you gotta get help...mentally. I can't go outside and drive my Xmod cuz of the ice everywhere....I drove it in the snow-muddy garage, and I had to clean the chassis because of mud everywhere on the bottom....

The boiler shut down, right now, a repair man is on the way, it's not funny.

The only good thing is that there are 2-hour-delays for my school. Shortened sessions, it's pretty cool. The snow, the cleaning, the cold in the house without the boiler.....PIECE OF SHIZZASS! (Whatever that means :???: )

Here in toronto, ontario, we've been getting quite a chill. Windchill down to -45 celsius, (about -49,-50 f). All the homeless have been cleared off the street, and they are saying 20 minutes for exposed skin to get frostbitten. Right now, we're having our first break in temperature in the last 2 weeks, only -19 celsius (-2 f)!

Last night, my friends handbrake got frozen in place, when he tried to put it down, the handle was actually bending and trying to spring back up.
