I've got a dirt truck
It's a dirt truck...Wheeee
I went to get a Motorworks for a project today. The body didn't matter, but I thought this one was kinda cool. I can use it for hauling dirt on the next dirt track I make.
I haven't seen anyone mention these, show I'm gonna show it

They also had a neon pink Chevy Thunderbolt that might of had potential, with paint. It came with some cool v-tread off road tires, but I opted for the dirt truck because the Thunderbolt had small wheels all the way around.

Same as the 2 other MotorWorks I've bought, like crap. Super tight left turns, wide sweeping right turns. Both wheels turn equally in both directions, and spin freely, so I have to blame the lack of sway bar in the front end, but I guess others have had better luck than me.denden1 wrote:I saw those ,.. passed . How does it handle ??
I don't why I never learn, but oh well, I wanted something to fiddle with this weekend.

Well I've learned a lot since last time I had a MotorWorks.
When I took it apart I saw every reason for it to steer stronger to the left. The coil was offset to the right. There was some flashing left on the right side of the coil holding part of the steering arm. The left magnet was crooked. There was a glob of glue hanging off the left magnet and the left front sat a tad higher.
I fixed all that (not as bad as it sounds), and now it steers equally to the right as the left, but not super tight in either direction.
Now I got to try to figure out get FETs in this thing, to see how that hardwired motor likes them.
It's not a dirt truck any more...

...but I always have that body if I need it.
Notice I put blue dots in the center of the rims to give them that authentic Centerline look.
This is gonna be another offroad car, but this will tide me over while I experiment with FETs.

Ya know what? That's an excellent idea. I just might borrow that if you don't mind.Bird wrote:Hey Dave you should chop that dumptruck body and make it into a bit carryin' flatbed on a zipzap chassis. Haul some of them tight rides around.......
synj, good idea with that snow truck, but I think I'll be sticking to dirt, no snow here in the desert.
