I went into the local r/s yesterday to buy a torino and chevelle{ big mistake} .I asked the MANAGER about the body kits , he tells me there is no such thing { only the euro and initial d sets}, so I show him on the internet the r/s website with them , he responds "oh they have decided not to make them after all" , so them I show him sets being sold on ebay , he says they are fakes . I could strangle this putz , how can he be a store manager?I took my new cars and got out of there before I went off. No more local rs for me, only website rs , no stupidity and better service { without the raised blood pressure and chest pains} My new ones are smooth as can be I had to do some minor adjustments on the chevelle but that was it , very sweet machines, can't wait for the rest to come out.

Those guys are clueless. When I bought my SE the guys actually said, "Do these really turn?"

...but to deny what's in front of his face, that's beyond ignorance, that just an idiot.

Easy just get a job working for radio shack pass all the tests and ask to go into manager training and there you have a manager in less than 6 months.

Just make sure you look at the fine print online for when they offer free shipping or it could cost 30% more online.

I do get a righteous smirk when the salesman starts trying to sell me, telling me that the purple NX motor is the fastest motor ever, or that he has some car that will beat anyone else. Uh-huh, wow.

Still, I go there at least once a week and almost never leave empty-handed.

How about being told the new Zip Zaps are going to be called the Zip Zaps Extreme. And that they were going to be larger.....

im fortunate to have about 4 within a few miles of either my work or home.

some employees are super cool and some will lie to you to get you to stop talking to them.

i was in search of bearings a few weeks ago. i was by the "south side" so i stopped at the shaq there. they were out. i asked the dude to look up and see if any other stores had them. he says the store i had been in the day before had them in. i was like hmm i was there yesterday and they didnt have shit. he was like "oh its real time" so i go to that store which is near my house anyhow and they didnt have it in and they were like oh that doesnt update til the next day. who did you talk to there? so i had him call another store that the original dude said had them in and wow they didnt either.

what really pissed me off was i asked the kid to call to double check but he was like oh no i see real time. fuckers


the stores downtown are aiaite tho. well one is full of morons but theyll order shit for me.

Really, the guys in the 2 stores by me are pretty cool. They keep Homies on the counter. When a new RC comes in, they're like hey check this out, and I'll play in the store for a while.

That was just a new guy, and an isolated incident with that comment I mentioned.

Just thought I'd throw that in to be fair.

Now, rant mode back on, 'cause Hog's story got me started up again. I had to walk to RS pushing a stroller, so I called ahead, there was another genious that didn't even bother checking, he just said yeah they're here, we have a bunch. Then they didn't and I ended up walking for miles and miles to get a new SE, questioning my sanity the whole way.

He's full of it, cj, the guy I dealt with at the Shaq that sg219 works like 200 yards from was cool. He knew that I knew what was up and left me to my shopping...
And the guys at the Shaq 2 blocks from where I used to work would ask me what is new or coming when I would stop in there... and they were always playing with zipzaps in there, too.

Alright, I give in!! Their not all MORONS!! Just the ones that you ask about a battery, and they're like, "Wow you can change the battery, I didn't even know there was one in there." this was concerning a ZZ SE chassis.

The one thats next to my work is ok, but i don't shop there because I don't want to be that close to work if I don't have to be and the traffic down there is f**kin' insane.

I think I could narrow it down to just the RS Moron Brigade @ Century 3 mall. These idiots couldn't even read the labels right to enter in the computer to look and see if other stores had what I wanted. Opps, sorry, I got the wrong number!! Hey, Would you like me to read it for you?

The saleperson at one of the RSs near me didn't know CRAP!!! About anything, not just Zips... A guy asked for a part and she was all "what's that"? But boy, she sure was fine!!!
