Micro Force

Post by Bit boy »

I posted this on TinyRc already but for the rest of yall that are to lazy to surf over there im making a mad force style bit monster front and rear two link or four link since i havent decided. the chassis is clear plastic from a cd case and she'll be dual celled of course. the steering box or tub is the front "axel" and the motor tub is the rear. Betty-K i need your help though what springs do you use on your shocks? i think i can adapt one of your shocks to pivot at both ends but your ideas would be welcome there two. i cant wait to get the money to buy a sacrificial MS sport to have some electronics to run this thing.

sounds cool, can't wait for it to materialise. first up, i'd scrap the cd plastic idea, that stuff it brittle as toffee and you probably won't even be able to cut it without breaking it. in general clear plastic is very brittle. black plastic is generally better. try plastic from an audio or video cassette.
for the springs, up front i use ph2t's springs exclusively. for the rear shock i'm settled on the springs that come with the tomy afx ho scale tune up kits for slot cars. you could even cut these in half and use them on the front if you want.
as for pcb, the 2 speed is a winner for me (NOT a super bit char g pcb). good luck! :-)
i used to be cool

the chassis is already done and i did manage to cut it without it breaking and its not real brittle ill probly get a pro for the two speed because theyre only a couple bucks more at Tower. i was thinking i might make mini flexplates and put them betweent the links and the chassis for suspension
