General discussions, new info, and all stuff that's how you say, off the hook. Bit, ZZ, SE, MT, SS... as long as it's micro, it's here.

scion xb

Post by jmays »

Hi all fellow pimps!

here is my latest body i am working on for the summer contest thingie,

i just started on this two days ago but its comeing along pretty well, i added zz wheels and have alot of the diff hubs, i will have to decide on what will look best when i have it painted and detailed. after starting this project i realized that the scion is actually a toyota and is just like the toyota bb, well it will be too easy for me to convert a bb to an xb so i will stay with this scratch build.

Haha, that's so typical you. Doing it the hard way, gotta respect that. That ride is looking to turn out tight man. Can't wait to see the finished product. FYI, this seems to me to be more of a Custom project as far as where in Pimp City to post, but hell it's still off the hook.

I've actually seen a couple of sets on Ebay that were Scion Xa and Xb bits. they were 1/64 scale and only available from Scion dealers as a promo. according to the seller.

Regardless, I'm sure your version will be even more pimp J.

Cool. That looks very much like a XB. XB's look hot. I think you should paint it blue like the pic. Good Luck. And Good Job.

Post by jmays »

I decided to open up the scion with cutting out the windows, I will be doing this rc metalic blue and with clear windows and lights...

not much left to do on this body , just some sanding and detailing it out. then the paint, glass, lights. fets, and dual cells...lol just kiddin on the last two items!

hi

Post by jmays »

whats up i cant get any more love here!...lol

has any one ever done a small wheel mod.
instead of putting wheels on a bit that are larger like the back wheels and put small front wheels on all the way around, will there be clearance,

does the chassis sit horizontally even withstock wheel set ups, or is the rear axle slot deeper to acomidate the rear wheels!

thank
