Other than the VS ones they are all current Bit shells. Why would it matter at that price you can buy em cheeper at KB toys.

I picked up one of the ones with the big ass controllers. The car is slow, but fets will fix that. The wheels are butt ugly. Their not like bit wheels. The hub cap design is different. The paint job sucked. The controller is too big IMO. I can't store it very conveniently. The charging pad stopped working. The tires bite my ass.

It did steer left and right well, and mine came with a decent motor. I will never get one again though.

Some of the new clones I've seen at Toysr'us are much better and some come with the infamous black motor, which seems to be very fast. I can't remember the company, but they are the only bullet style mini cars toysrus is selling right now, that I know of.

For the freqs man: 27ABCD. Besides, the KB's in the 817 only carry Rally Racers (SQW's), and they ain't cheaper.

Hey HR, that sounds intriguing. Give us more info. Again, I guess I'm SOL. Round here, TRU only sells Cannonballs.

It might be the cannonball one's that I'm talking about. When I say bullet style, I'm mean they come with the car attached to the controller and a plastic dome over it.

As for the black motor, they seem to be a very fast clone stock motor. Of course they're not the fastest motors by far. Not all of the cars have them. And some people said they've bought many, but none had them. That's probably a distribution issue. Either way, I wouldn't buy one just to get a black motor. It's just nice when you find one.

As for the bodies, they seem a little diferent than the norm. There is a Mercedes CLK and another that looks similar. There's also one that looks like a Vitz or Netz car. They also have a black RX-7 with a ton of stickers on it. There's some others I can't think of off the top of my head, but the good thing is, they come with a bunch of bodies that aren't available from tomy. One of the stickers said _____lion, or lion_____. I can't remember because I took all those nasty stickers off and threw them away.

Sorry I can't be more specific. I buy a ton of clones and I don't always remember the names of the companies. I pick them up to get a good idea of variations, mod potential, and cheap test cars. A lot of them just get torn up and used for spare parts.

Hey, if you're looking for good cars with frequencies other than the standard US freqs, then I might suggest "Hobby Link Japan". If you do a search under company at there menu drop down thingy, and look under Tomy, you'll find a good selection of bit stuff. They have alot of stuff on sale. Specifically, they have extra chassis that come with a clear Skyline in their "accessories" section on sale for about $6. TWO CATCHES TO THIS DEAL- 1. they have expensive shipping costs and 2. you'll need a multi-freq controller or a 2-speed/booster controller made for cars that are two speed. The controller will of course need to be the same freq as the car. Don't go get an American 49mhz 2-speed controller and expect it to run the 45mhz 2-speed car. I use to see the multi freq controllers for sale here and there on the internet. I picked up a few and use them frequently. I like them. But, if all else fails, then just take a look around any ways. Like I said, I found alot of stuff on sale there, and I'll order from them in bulk to reduce shipping costs. I recently picked up the Skyline history set that came with the three Skyline bodies for $10. This set was about $50 when it first came out a long time ago. Don't confuse this set with the new superbit Skyline set.

Good info HR. Thanks man. The cars you decscribe at TRU are indeed Cannonballs. The car with the lion decal is a Peugeot 206 WRC:

Appreciate the recommendation to check out HLJ. Truth is I have over 30 bits including BCGs, SBCGs, MSs, MS Pros, SQWs, and CnG's. But I'm always on the lookout for more. I've got cars in 27ABC, 35, 40ABC, 45, 49, and 57 mhz. Never seen clones offered in 27ABCD, so that's what intrigued me about the Auldeys. I might have to snag a couple from Toyeast and see for myself.

Thanks.

I started to get one of these last year when ordering some shit fro TE but decided not to.
the KB's in the 817 only carry Rally Racers (SQW's), and they ain't cheaper.
Rally Racer's are only $9.99 but I tell ya, It'll be the best $9.99 you'll
ever spend on a 1/64. They're actually renamed Shen Qi Wei's. I've preached this for a long time, IMO, they are the very best Micro straight
outta da box bar none!.....

The man speaks the truth... I swear by them... Hell, I even got a "broken" one off of the broken shelf at KB one time for $4, took it home, threw it together... PERFECT... That one is now my dual celled Accord wagon, and as hogjowlz would say, It rocks hard.
