Fried SE ??

I was charging a fetted se last night and all of a sudden it started running (while on the charger - by itself). After taking it off the charger, it ran for about 5 seconds and now it is somewhat dead. Wont charge - light keeps turning amber, although before it turns amber, there is a couple of 1 sec running spurts (while on the charger). I changed the battery and still nothing. Any ideas anyone??

did u buy completly brand new aaa's for the charger?

I'd say check the wiring and batteries. Also Hue35 reminded me that fetted pcb's are fragile and it's not good to mess with them too much. Ask ph2t or Crazy Dave. Those guys are total fetheads....

freshly charged rechargeables - and I hadn't messed with it at all. Took it off the shelf and started charging and that was it.
