i just showed my brother the german wheels. and what he said
a swiss laithe could crank out hundreds an hour for like 50cents a wheel.
and get this... he knows a dude who has all the stuff to make them. and my brother and the dude he knows dont live in germany. he says the rim part could be lasercut lexan or mylar which would be cheap. i need exact dimensions and he can cad it up yo!

Here my $1 for investment.
I think Silla has the diminsions.
that would be awesome to MFG here in USA.
If we know what CAD tool he uses...maybe we can supply our own designs.

k probably autodesk. hes used a few so im not sure what he prefers.
he thinks this will be easy to do. a lot easier if you make the wheel/rim all one piece and keep it kinda simple at first at least. he was talkin about making 40wheels in the first run to see how it goes.

Making the wheels ain't rocket science man, it's just about having the right equipment and some machining know-how.
It's cool that your Bro is gonna give a try, I hope it works out!

I don't think you would want to lasercut the rim styles out of lexan, but photoetch them on thin metal (like the German ones). I would think it would not only be of higher quality, but cheaper as well.

I would pay just about a squillion dollars if someone could make my favorite konig rims:

I would practically puke with excitement if I could get those on a bit
