It's Alive!

Post by crazydave »

Franken-zap lives again. Back from the dead, it's a more subtle, refined car now.

I ended up using the PCB from the LXX booster. The steering coil wires had fried, and were a dull grey color, so I replaced the steering coils. The LXX had some kick ass steering coils in it, so my steering is better than ever. While I was at the front end, I replaced the clear plastic bulk head thing with a black Microsizer one, because the clear plastic cracks too easy. I had to shave it down here and ther to get it to fit. I also covered the holes from where I moved the steering coils back.

I liked how kwikbb kept his dual cell looking stock, so I decided turn Franken-Zap into a dual cell sleeper. I painted the PCB board cover to help hide, "my little secret". I think this is going to be temporary. Anyone want to take bets on it making through the weekend before I tri-cell it again?

See, innocent enough. Just a painted PCB cover that's all...

...or is it?

Right now it's wearing my new favorite body, but I'm going to buy a new ZZ to put this body on, because I want to see the hubcaps with it.

Sweet ride dave! I love my dual bit-zap, it's without a doubt the best car in the collection... and with those phat-ass new 2F2F bodies, that's the cherry on my sunday! lol
Nice detail to the PCB cover too. 8)

oohhh, that's slick crazydave!

damn it - I didn't want to give in but I'm gonna have to get a ZZ now for several reasons.

I wish that blue was just a touch darker on the Camaro though - oh well, still probably cool as all hell.

 buy a couple body sets... then you can have an OG and one for custom paint jobs and mods.

Couldn't agree more about the color. Wish it was metallic like the picture on the trading card.

You know I'm dying to give one of these muscle cars a custom paint job, but I'm waiting until I can afford a second set
