Motorworks NKOK Diecast RC @ Walmart
I almost grabbed one. I thought, "Wow, a scale looking Motorworks, This'll be cool." It wasn't totally scale, and had slightly oversized tires in back, but it looked like the usual grippy Motorworks rubber, so that was a plus for it's somewhat proportional size, and the controller took a 9-volt battery and claimed a 50 ft. range.
... but then I saw "Die Cast" and it went right back.
Now I'm wishing I got it. I had a blue F-150, and they also had a couple Hummers.
Anyone try one? Worth buying?

I got an Escalade one last year... other than the fact that it had a mean right hook to it that I never could get corrected, it was dual celled and carried that die cast body around pretty well, with the body off, it was ballistic...
It's in pieces in my bit box... the pcb and batteries are going to eventually be used elsewhere...
Oh... it comes with a nice stand alone charger that takes 4 aas, and that still gets used on my dual celled and SE celled rides...
It was worth it for the charger alone in my case, but I know I read you saying that you make your own chargers for multi-cell rides...
I guess it depends how much they want for it... I paid like $14 for the Escalade/trailer/boat combo like last January off of the Wally World "after xmas closeout" shelf...
I guess what I'm saying is, if you can get it cheap, ya might as well just for the hell of it.

What he said - although my biggest problem with those is the low ground clearance. With the weight of those stock, won't run on any carpet except the lowest. But on the ground it's kind of cool.Bird wrote: it was dual celled and carried that die cast body around pretty well, with the body off, it was ballistic...

Getting off the subject matter a lil, the latest Nakamichi is setup almost the same way, 9v controller, separate 4-AAA charger, dual cell'd, frt & rr lights. Body is plastic and it has the large ass Nakamichi PCB that makes it impossible to lower the body so IMO they're only good to use with the supplied truck bodies, the car bodies suck big time. Get'em cheap here.......
