New Body Donors

I was at Wal-mart last night and saw these on the rack and was amazed they were not di-cast they were actually all plastic. I found a 54 Chevy and a Cadillac Escalade. I took pictures of the Escalade still in the package but was in a hurry to get the Chevy out and start chopping!

The Sets are Lowrider Magazine sets and come in two pieces to allow you to put a third piece in a middle to make some sort of limo type out of the car. I was just excited that the bodies were plastic and in a scale I could work with.

I took the Chevy out first thing and started a Chopping!!! I married it up to a Muscle Machines SSTuner body as it has a longer wheel base so less cutting I still had to remove a little over 1/16 of an inch of plastic and glue the two pieces together to fit the Chassis in I then removed the front window (it’s the only window removable).

I plan to remove all the body lines take off the bumpers (save them aside), putty and repaint. I think it’s going to be a lot of sanding and putty to get the right look that I want but should look hot when done!

Here are some pic’s of the package and the Chevy I also have pic’s of the wheels not sure which ones I will use or if I will just stick to the stock wheels on the Chassis

Holy Shit! It's about time someone came out with something like this... good thing I just bought all of those German bodies... ooops. Thanks for the info, swg... I'm gonna clear 'em out!

Do they show other models on the packaging? How much are they? Can you tell I'm excited about these?

Hue I was excited as you...

There were only 3 types at my Wal-Mart but I think there are more they don't show any others on the packaging but they list 12 different ones they just have there own name on them so you cant tell what type of Car they are. oh and the cost is about $4.75 or around that per package.

buy em out man!!

This has potential to be a damn cool, more scale-like ride.
It's gonna take some work, but I think it'll work out great.
It's a cool toy right outta the package, too...
thanks for the tip, SWG.

Long... huh huh... "long"

Hue thats why I went with the Muscle Machines Tunerz Chassies becuse it has a longer wheel base and I did not have to cut the car down as much!

I like the one you got do you think an RC chassie will fit under there or is the body too low?? :-)

I need to find more there are 12 in the series!

will primer it then add a little more putty then sand and primer again.
I also chopped the Caddy and will start on that after the 54 is done.
