What is it, how does it help, and isn't that the same thing they use in ESC's

Max, MOSFETs are high current, low resistance transistors, and yes they are used in ESCs.
Here is a MOSFET mod done in a BitChar-g.

but mosfets are must !

just try it

welcome Bit-Man!
Is there any more information about this upgrade at bit-racer.de?

I found some good info here

Single cell

http://www.universalhost.de/html_bit/mo ... bridge.htm

Dual cell

http://www.universalhost.de/html_bit/mo ... dge2_4.htm

A translator may help.

Oh, and here is a source to find the mosfets in the US:

http://www.newark.com/

I picked up a dozen of each for the 2 cell mosfet mod. I just haven't tried it yet, gotta find smaller tip for soldering iron!

Micro popped in the other day and picked up one of my cars. He's currently moddin it for me and I'll get it back soon. When I do I will give you pimps the low down.... In the meantime for the BEST english version of this mod check out the link Micro posted earlier in this thread.

I did the mosfet mod for 2 and 3 cells. All I can say is WOW!!! This mod gives so much more power to wheels. Traction can become a serious problem with this mod. I tried the pcb I modified in a 3 cell car that is basicly two rear halves glued together, 4 wheel driven, no steering. I used kit racer blue gears and zip zap red motors. This thing lights up the tires. I even broke my old speed record of 11.6 mph, I hit 13.06 mph! I am gonna drop this pcb in a 2 cell car, to try and tone it down a bit. With no suspension, any little inperfection in the painted concrete floor at work, gets this thing completely airborne! You gotta try this mod. I will be sending one to micro_Amps in austaulia for the single cell mod. I attempted the single cell mod, but it was a little more difficult. Try it, you'll like it!!!

From what micro_amps was tellin me there is one mosfet mod that will handle any amount of cells wether it be 1 or more...

The mod I did was a transistor for fet swap in same location. Due to voltage requirements you have to use 2 cell minimum. I think maybe the other mod with the fets on the other side of the board will do all, I know it will work for 1 cell, not sure on others.
